2013 Resolutions Recap

As we celebrate the new year, we can't help but reflect on the year behind us. At the beginning of 2013, we jumped onto the resolution bandwagon and made a goals list of our own!  We did a mid-year progress report, and now we are doing an end-of-the-year recap. This year has gone by like the blink of an eye, and we didn’t get to do as much as we wanted to all of these, but hey – there’s always 2014!

Stay Local – Like we said in our mid-year progress report, we’ve been using a local media company to do our printing and design. We are continually impressed and pleased with Seebridge Media, and we look forward to working with them in the new year!

We used a local shredding company, Southern Shred, during our office move. We especially like them because they recycle! We also use a local company for our business cards and stationary, CoreGraphics. Harry at Core Graphics hand delivers our products and we just love that personal touch!

Give Back. Get Involved/Hands On – As a company, we have really prioritized giving back and serving in various ways. From doing our monthly charity drawings to sponsoring a little league baseball team, we have made a conscious effort to remember the value of helping others. Here are the charities we donated to this year: KSBJ, Child Fund International, Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer, Living Water International, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, The Red Cross, Redeemed Ministries, and Fisher House.

Fisher House was our Christmas charity. Just like we did last year, this year we decided to donate the money allocated to buying Christmas presents for clients to charity. In celebration of the Christmas season and the end of a great year, we have chosen to support Fisher House Foundation. We are thankful for organizations like Fisher House that help improve the quality of life for American military personnel and veterans.

Fisher House has established a network of comfort homes located at or near major military and VA medical centers nationwide. These homes are provided to military and veterans’ families at no cost so that they are able to be close to their loved one as they undergo treatment.

We were happy to support Fisher House this Christmas as they continue to provide a “home away from home” for military family during a loved one’s hospitalization. We agree with Fisher House when they say, “a family’s love is good medicine.”

Instill Creativity – We love exercising our left brain! In 2013, we created infographics for Direct Mail pieces and for our Christmas Cards. We changed our Facebook Cover photo every moth. We have blogged, tweeted, YouTubed, and Pinned! We definitely want to continue to shake things up, to think outside the box, and to create!

Be Less PC. Say Thanks. Stay Proud – Again, we are so incredibly proud of our employees’ hard work, and we let them know it! Insource is not a company that struggles with words of encouragement. We commend our employees publicly on our Wall of Excellence, through cards, and through one-on-one conversation. We are proud of what we stand for and aren’t afraid to send out cards that say “Merry Christmas” as opposed to “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays.”

Interact. Teach. – We put on a lot of seminars and webinars this year, interacting and teaching about all of our technology focus areas. We set up our booth and shook lots of hands at a number of conferences. We participated in speaking sessions, showcasing our expertise and commitment to excellence. We even started a YouTube channel to provide informative sessions at the click of a mouse!

2013 was a great year. We learned and grew so much as a company, and we’re not stopping now! We will continue to work hard, create, give, commend, teach, and do the right thing. That’s what makes us who we are.

Happy New Year's from the Insource Technology team. May 2014 be even more blessed and productive than 2013 for all of us!
